This is way and I mean way overdue.
But better late than never.
Last year my sisters and I finally pushed through with our Singapore trip. This time we decided to wing it since our older sister already made a trip there a few years back. Of course we still did our research and equipped ourselves with a tourist guide book and map of the country (its nice to be prepared).
Our itinerary:
First day: General tour of the place.
Second day: Universal Studios (the real reason why my other sister went to visit).
Third day: Last day shopping
Going there was an adventure itself. Suffice it to say that we thought at least one of us would be left behind. Then we had the issue of the umbrella. The very expensive umbrella got left behind. Note to travelers: don't bring your umbrella as a carry on but have it checked in. The airline personnel wont tell you this. So by the time you enter the second x-ray machine it'd be too late. But the weird thing is, I got away with
mine, maybe the airport can only detect expensive umbrellas, hmm.
We left Manila at 10 in the evening and arrived at Singapore's budget terminal around midnight. We decided to take the airport shuttle service since it was quite late and we weren't sure if other public transportation were available at that hour. In the meantime, we had our money changed at the nearby money changer.
We got a quick view of the city via the shuttle ride. We had to drop other passengers to their destinations, I think we were the second to the last.
Finally, we arrived at the Novotel Clarke Quay Hotel. We got the executive room since our reservation wasn't ready yet. Hey no complaints there.
Here's a picture of our room for the night:
And the view:
Next: the general tour.
Just me,
