I was rushing to get home yesterday since I had to do an errand for my mom. I really hate rush hours so I make it a point to go home before such time. Unfortunately for me, the errand took a little while which meant that I had to ride the MRT with a lot of people. This was confounded by the fact that the train came in late. So that meant the number of people doubled within the waiting period. Anyway, so we were fully packed in the train and I had to get off my station. I was moving towards the door saying excuse me so that the people will give way. No such luck. Not one soul within my vicinity would budge. I think the fear of losing their spot is unbearable to them. For a second my brain thought "Oh no!". Should I just shove these people out of my way or what? Until a voice from above our heads said "Someones going out." It was a foreigner who was quite tall and saw what was happening from below. Immediately people started to move and let me through. I wanted to thank her but I was in a mad rush to get off the train before it was too late.
