"Goldie"

Every morning as we commute to work my brother and I pass by this sidewalk wherein a dog was tied to a post. The dog's breed later I found out was that of a golden retriever. The first time I saw the dog, it was clean and active. It was so cute. I wanted to buy one like it. Lately though we noticed that it became so dirty and inactive. My brother commented today that the dog looks so sad and lonely. I said would you be happy if you were tied to a post and has to stay near your own "poop"? What I knew from watching animal shows was that the golden retriever is a good tempered and friendly animal. They generally do not necessarily have to be tied down. It was just so sad to see the dog change from a happy to a miserable one. It looked so neglected and I feel so sorry for it. If you're planning to buy and take care of a dog I suggest that you get one which actually suits your lifestyle. Research on the kind of breed that will suit you. Don't get one just for the heck of it.
