Today my boss announced that she's leaving our project to be assigned to a bigger one. Coupled with this is the fact that there will be some reorganization within the group. She already designated the people who will replace her. I already knew the person she was talking about since she already told me about it yesterday. I think she was preparing me for the fact that even though I worked here longer she chose a person who was my junior. At first I didn't think too much of it because I was just glad that I still had a job. It was later that night when it finally sank. We were being by-passed. I really feel such a loser. Okay if I think about it I really don't want the job but it doesn't hurt if they actually offered us senior employees the position first. I just want to have the right of first refusal. I guess that's just ego talking. It's just that now I'm forced to think about finding new employment. It doesn't look good on my resume when I say I have been by-passed. Its difficult to adjust to a new environment if I find a replacement job that is. Anyway, I think its time to move on its not the same anymore....
